1, the filtration precision is high: the removal rate of suspended matter in water can be over 95%, and the impurities such as macromolecule organic matter, virus, bacterium, colloid and iron are removed. After good coagulation treatment water is treated and water is 10NTU, the effluent is less than 1NTU.

2, filtration speed is fast: generally 40m/h, up to 60m/h, which is more than 3 times of ordinary sand filter.

3, the amount of sewage is large: generally 15 to 35kg/m3, 4 times more than ordinary sand filter.

4, the water consumption rate of backwashing is low: the consumption of backwashing is less than 1 to 2% of that of periodic filtration.

5, low dosage and low running cost: because of the structure of filter bed and the characteristics of filter material, the dosage of flocculant is 1/2 to 1/3 of conventional technology. With the increase of periodic water production, the operation cost of tonnes of water will also decrease.

6. Small floor area: the same water volume is produced and the floor area is less than 1/3 of the common sand filter.

7. Strong adjustable. The parameters such as filtration accuracy, interception capacity and filtration resistance can be adjusted according to needs.

8. The filter material is durable and the life span is more than 20 years.
